I’m up waaaay too late….

This has been one of those days. It has been long and hectic. Now it's 2:30 in the morning and I'm still awake. Any other night this wouldn't be a big deal, but tomorrow morning is church. I like to be nice and awake for church so I can pay attention and possible learn something. So...what can I do to go to sleep? My top ten ways to go to sleep on a restless night like this:
  1. Turn the laptop off and step away slowly.  Do not go near it again until after 7:00am
  2. stop eating chocolate...it'll keep you up
  3. no coffee...even french vanilla or milk chocolate
  4. soak in a hot bath surrounded by beautiful, scented candles
  5. Sip hot tea
  6. Take a walk before bed
  7. prayer
  8. meditation
  9. Be sure to put the kids to bed at least two hours before you plan on going to bed.  Gives you time to unwind.
  10. Forget about it...just get out of bed, grab a cup of coffee, the Ghirardelli and the laptop and plop down in front of the tv.
Unfortunately, it looks like tonight is a number 10 night for me!  :-\
