It’s a Snow Day?! NOOOOOOOO!

I remember the days when I was a kid, eagerly listening on my Dad’s giant radio for them to announce that schools were cancelled. Even a delay was well-received (with the hope that it would be changed to a cancellation). Getting sent home early due to snow was just as exciting!

I loved school (when I was younger, anyway!). I loved learning, and seeing my friends.

Still, I truly don’t remember reacting negatively to the thought of a snow day!

This morning, though, with my son? His reaction was not a positive one. He WANTED to go to school.

Fortunately, they seem to be enjoying the downtime now, though!

While I’m not a HUGE fan of this Pokemon craze that has consumed (BOTH OF) my kids, this “PokeDragon” that they made is pretty cool:

Creative, eh?  (and they actually worked TOGETHER, without fighting – phew!)

What do you all do on snow days?

  1. Oh, I wish I was there to play in the snow with you!!!

  2. We have a few nice hiking trails behind our house. We love to be the first ones to blaze through the trail after a snow fall! That’s a pretty creative snow sculpture your kids have there! It was the best snow for building 🙂
