{Relatively} Easy Handmade Christmas Gifts

I am NOT a knitter.  By any means.  I can crochet, but I never really got the hang of knitting.  However, I found a cute swirly scarf pattern, and when I watched the how-to videos, I realized that knitting it would actually be easier than crocheting it.  {again, this is coming from a NON-knitter}.

I made up a bunch of these scarves for teacher gifts and for a few other people:

(I’m soooooo taking a picture of it on somebody else when I get the chance!!)

They actually are quick and easy once you get the hang of it.  If you use the Red Heart Sashay yarn, I’ve found that 6 stitches works better.  If you use the sparkly Starbella yarn (which is pretty, but kind of scratchy ~ maybe it will be better after a few washes??), do 8 stitches.

I’ve made quite a few now, and as long as I don’t undo it too many times I can make them up in about 2 nights.  🙂

This one is a work-in-progress:

Think you’ll try your hand at these?
