If You Have Young Kids, I Have an Amazing Site to Share With You!

Do you ever find yourself in a rut, trying to figure out something to do with the kiddos? I’m talking about the free or inexpensive kind of fun that you don’t have to leave the house for?

The kids and I have to go to work 3 days out of the week, so on our other two days, we find ourselves JUST. WANTING. TO. STAY. HOME. We want to play and have fun without time constraints, you know?

BUT, I’ve been in a weird funk lately, and I’ve lost the motivation to find fun things to do with them. (which leads to them nagging me to do stuff and me generally getting annoyed and losing my cool with them. Not the mommy I want to be!)

Last night I was participating in a fun Twitter party, and got to chatting with another blogger. I went to her site to see what kinds of things she wrote about and OH. MY. GOODNESS. I found the Holy Grail of fun kid stuff. Seriously, this is what I wanted my blog to be like.

Are you at all intrigued? Want a HUGE list of FUN and creative activities to choose from?

Then you’ve got to check out Valerie from Frugal Family Fun Blog. She has a TON of Indoor and Outdoor activities to do with your kiddos, as well as crafts (separated into categories – even a “No Mess” one – love it!) and fun resources (recipes, savings & coupons, lunch ideas)…..

Looks fun, right?  (I love how colorful her site is!)

If you’re in a hurry, here are some direct links to fun for you:

These are just a handful of neat ideas that I saw on the Frugal Family Fun Blog.  (there are actually close to 1,000 to chose from!).  Wouldn’t these be great craft projects to leave for the babysitter or for grandma while they’re taking care of the kiddos?

Oh, and if you recognize some of these crafts, I found out that Valerie is also a contributing writer for magazines like Highlights High Five and Create With Me.  There were a few others too, she said, but we were trying to converse in 140 characters or less (on Twitter), and it was getting late!  🙂

Make sure you bookmark this site (Ctrl + D) when you’re there so you can refer back to it often.  Don’t forget to say “hi” while you’re there!
