9 Years Ago Today….

….we had a big party!  We had friends and family there…

My new family (hubby’s dad, bro & mom)

dancing with my Daddy to the world’s longest song
(neither one of us are big on dancing, or being in the spotlight – so yes, this song lasted forever!)

my one concession to hubby’s (rather elaborately-planned!) Star Wars wedding idea
This is his groom’s cake – and it was a surprise for him.  🙂

I can’t believe it’s been nine years already.  Where does the time go?  Looking through these photos today, something was very, very clear to me.  All of our friends, all of our family….they have always surrounded us in love.  With the many things that can change in nearly a decade, that is one thing that has not changed.

I love my life today, and I love being married to one of my very best friends.

Happy Anniversary, Matt!  Thanks for taking care of me and our sweet children!

“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’
‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’
So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
Mark 10:6-9

  1. Congratulations!!! You are still a beautiful bride and what a blessing/crown you are for your husband!

  2. Congratulations, Stephanie! What a beautiful wedding you had … I can see the love that was present! And I love reading your thoughts 9 years later … I'm so happy for you and your husband! I can totally relate to your feelings of time going by fast. My husband and I celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary in May, and it seems like we were just married recently! Of course, time does fly when you're having fun! 🙂

  3. Congratulations!
