Are You Listening?

These two three verses seem to be staring me in the face of late….I think it’s time that I start listening!

  • Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe. (Proverbs 29:25)
  • Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
  • But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

I’m struggling with something at the moment, but I have faith in the Lord….my all-time favorite prayer (that I learned from Jan Karon’s Mitford series!) is “Thy will be done.”  It’s scary, but it takes the weight off of your shoulders if you can pray it….and release your problems to Him.

What about you?  Have you been having the same scriptures presented to you in different ways to the point where you start to realize that THIS MESSAGE is for YOU?  (It takes a two-by-four to the head sometimes…..for me, anyway!)
