Good Friday – So Thankful!

My church had their Maundy Thursday service last night, where we reflect on the Last Supper, the Betrayal, and the Crucifixion.  This is one of my favorite services of the year – it’s very poignant and meaningful.  The joy of Easter truly is that much sweeter when you first observe the heartbreak of the Crucifixion.

It just amazes me that with a word Jesus could have avoided the suffering and the pain.  And for our Father in Heaven to send His precious Son down to this broken world to live among us, knowing how it all would end….Friends, we are SO loved!

This song came to mind when I was driving home from the service.  If you have a chance to watch the images on the video as well, it’s very powerful.

May your Good Friday be blessed as you remember the incredible sacrifice that Jesus gave for us – His own life.
