Friday Funny – Kids Say the Darndest Things!

Silly TeddyKids are SO funny.  You never know what’s going to come out of their mouths.

As you may know, my 4-year-old (who will be 5 in a month-and-a-half) is really into bugs.  Some of the books that we have borrowed from the library recently have talked about dung beetles.  Well,
as you can probably guess, Dung Beetles eat….dung.  Of course we had to explain that dung is another word for “poop”.

I have a little secret to let you in on.  I fall apart when I hear potty humor.  Not nasty, crude humor, but general G-rated (or even PG) potty humor.

So when my boy says to me today “I dung sometimes”, I kinda lost it in a fit of giggles.  He then went on to tell me “dung beetles eat dung, and dung is another word for poop.  I dung sometimes.”

Rolling, rolling, rolling

I’m giggling just writing about this.  We had to leave a voice message for my husband at work.  His
voice message system emails him a .wav file as an attachment, so we now have a permanent record of him saying this.

(Oh the things we’ll embarrass him about when he starts dating!)

HAHAHA, man I love my nephew! I don’t know how some parents are able to keep a straight face when it comes to potty humor or just anything that kids say (that may be slightly inappropriate). I lose it! Thanks for sharing!
